The Nebulo School organised its one-day winter camp at the Hungarian House on 16th July , which was held during the winter school holiday. The topic was Hungarian tales, cartoons., We were very glad to host 22 children on the one-day event.
The children started to arrive to the Hungarian House around 9:00am. After a Kid- yoga session, they had fresh fruit for morning tea. Due to the different age groups, the children continued the program in two groups. The kindy group watched “ Öreg néne őzikéje” on slide projector, which is a story of a beautiful encounter of a deer and an elderly lady. The children made puppet characters and performed the story together again. Meanwhile, the older children were watching classical Hungarian tales such as “Mézga család”, “Dr. Bubó” and “Magyar Népmesék”. Then, they could complete a test to check how much they remembered of the stories.
Even the rainy weather could not ruin the afternoon program, underneath the covered area the children enjoyed playing and drawing. At the end of the day, the parents arrived at 4:00pm to pick up their children.
We had such a great time together. Hopefully, we see you all soon, on the Spring-Camp on 8th October. Information will be posted soon on our Facebook site.
